  1. Prof. David Robb teaches a class at Davidson on Buddhism as philosophy. His syllabus goes through Buddhist ideas and applies them to Western philosophical terms and theories. I feel my paper tries to evaluate philosophy with a greater emphasis on an eastern lens. Three questions that I ponder after writing my paper and thinking about his Buddhist philosophy syllabus are: How ingrained is the western cultural bias within the study of philosophy in eastern traditions? Can this bias be reduced to allow equality between the analysis of western and eastern perspectives in philosophy? How would that reduction occur?
